Lori Goins
Your Educator Empowerment Coach
Lori Goins is a current Special Education teacher and certified Mastery Level Empowerment Coach who advocates for giving educators the tools to fight burnout and stay positive and purposeful in their jobs. She has over a decade of classroom teaching experience in international, public, and charter schools and holds two Master’s degrees in Special Education. Lori is the founder of Happy Turtle Coaching, which offers group coaching with the vision of supporting educators in creating a work culture that retains engaged staff. After surviving burnout and watching many educators leave the field far ahead of their time, Lori looked for a way out of education, only to find that it would come from focusing on change within–one teacher, one team, one school at a time. Lori’s speaking engagements include national conferences and school board training sessions. She is determined to help educators and educational systems do what is best for students: retain engaged, purposeful, and positive staff.
WHERE HAPPY TURTLE COACHING COMES FROM
My journey has not been easy in my adult life, and I spent significant time in my shell, isolated and alone. The name of my company, Happy Turtle Coaching, is a reminder to me of the journey. The turtle only makes progress when its head is out of its shell. The turtle bravely sticks out its neck, whether on land where progress is slow or in the water, where progress looks effortless. To progress and make the necessary changes to bring our best to the world, we must be vulnerable like the turtle and bravely come out of our shells. This adventure is me being brave. I hope you will join me!
